You might remember the Stash Bunting I made, inspired by a pattern that appeared in Inside Crochet magazine. It got lots of compliments and many of you asked to buy it. Over the summer I’ve been playing around with different flower motifs and trying to join the flowers together in a way that I liked (the original pattern joined with a slip stitch which meant the motifs didn’t always sit the way I wanted them to). After a few attempts, I finally came up with a bunting that I like. I’ve sold a couple to friends and one is on display at Fibre and Clay in Knutsford, so I decided to take the plunge and add it to my Etsy Shop.
It’s the first time I’ve listed anything for sale there and I’m still not sure if it’s the right thing for me to do, but I decided nothing ventured … nothing gained. If you are on Etsy and you’d like to “favourite” my bunting it would mean a lot to me – or you could even buy some (that’s the only “hard sell” you’ll get and remember all profits from things I sell go to Ashton Brownies as we always need money for entertaining the girls!) I also made some in pretty pastels as a baby shower gift, here’s an unfinished preview as it hasn’t been passed on to its recipient yet:
Now, onto more interesting things – I’m sure you’ve all got far more important places to be and things to be doing, so off you go – create, have fun, spend time with loved ones and remember life is what you make it.

/ August 22, 2011The bunting is lovely! I like the idea of pastel bunting for a baby. The two lots of bunting I made for the village show are now pinned up in the summer house!
