Your Handmade Home

YOUR-HANDMADE-HOME_NO-7Issue 7 of Your Handmade Home has just gone on sale and once again I’m really impressed with the colourful and stylish projects inside. It was also a bit of a thrill to see the simple crochet coasters I designed for Dorling Kindersley are featured on the cover! It should be available in most news agents, but is also available to buy online (with free p&p) by clicking here

Keep an eye out for future issues, which will feature some projects I have designed exclusively for Your Handmade Home readers. Meanwhile, get hold of this issue, with tips on upcycling,  sweet kitchen accessories and great makes for kids it really is an inspiring read.

This tiny jar sits on the top shelf of my fridge, a gift too precious to open. But, after working on my book since 5am I'm wondering if the brandy soaked cherries would be a fitting reward for completing the first draft, dipped in melted chocolate with a huge mug of coffee? I really think @edencottageyarns Whitfell dk is one of my top 3 favourite ever yarns, beautiful colours and so soft. Perfect for baby hats -though I'm tempted to crochet one of these in my size because I love it so much! #crochet #alpaca #babyhats #lovecrochet #crochetersofinstagram Things learnt this week: my thumb is not photogenic! Oops! Always proof read marketing materials before printing!!! Sitting on the train with my new issue of #lovecrochet magazine & spotted this little mention for me & @edencottageyarns !! #wool , #learntocrochet #cumbria This time of year our garden is 50 shades of brown. I love these foggy mornings, but I long for some colour!!!! My gorgeous chilli string #crochet_pattern has just been republished in issue 3 of Hashtag Crochet mag! #crochet #crochetcommunity #crochetlove (yarn is fabulous @dmccreativeworld Natura Just Cotton) Playing around with some colour combos for a new #crochet design.... #mycrochetmotif A mix of homegrown hazelnuts &with locally grown salad & romanesco from @vegmen makes a delicious vegan lunch, just add a couple of crunchy apples & a simple dressing #vegan #veganfoodshare #paleo #chestertweets
