Your Handmade Home

YOUR-HANDMADE-HOME_NO-7Issue 7 of Your Handmade Home has just gone on sale and once again I’m really impressed with the colourful and stylish projects inside. It was also a bit of a thrill to see the simple crochet coasters I designed for Dorling Kindersley are featured on the cover! It should be available in most news agents, but is also available to buy online (with free p&p) by clicking here

Keep an eye out for future issues, which will feature some projects I have designed exclusively for Your Handmade Home readers. Meanwhile, get hold of this issue, with tips on upcycling,  sweet kitchen accessories and great makes for kids it really is an inspiring read.

Mr T's contribution to new garden planning - holding labels for me to photograph is as close as he gets to "real" gardening!!! The most beautiful colour, phone doesn't do it justice. Mr T, at Bodnant Gardens today. My 2nd favourite garden! Colour, texture and amazing twisted trunks!#acers #nationaltrust #gardensofwales Cheeky Sunday baking: Delicious ginger flapjack from @mirandagorebrowne 's book #bakemeacakeasfastasyoucan - Mr T already tucking in!!! New issue of #lovecrochet on sale, full of great projects, rather pleased to see my bedroom set made it to the cover - would make a great Christmas gift. #crochet #yarnlove Meet Lucy Fisher, a simple knit using @edencottageyarns Whitfell Chunky, #knitting pattern available on Ravelry, beautiful wooden handles from Bag Clasps, kits available from Eden Cottage Yarns. Time to dig out the winter coat, and every coat needs a #furcollar, this #freepattern is over on my blog. Ideal for beginners, this was very popular last year & only takes 1 ball of Louisa Harding Luzia or similar fur yarn. #crochet #lovecrochet Thought this jumper needed a matching scarf, so made this last night. #crochetpattern is called Ursula. Buy it on Ravelry or find on @edencottageyarns stand at the #knittingandstitchingshow this weekend x It's been a long day - cold wine, hot bath & this better do what it promises....and...breathe....
