Cute Crochet Bunnies

Do you remember when I fell in love with the Little Cotton Rabbits? Well, it’s happened again, this time the object of my affection is a cute crochet bunny

I came across her (him?) by accident.  It happened like this:

A customer walked into Fibre + Clay and innocently asked “May I take some photos for my blog”? Naturally, Riana asked for the URl and we couldn’t resist a sneaky peek, there we found a beautifully written blog with the most darling little crochet projects. There are cute little egg cosies, a rather lovely starburst cushion I will definitely be making and the sweetest little knitted monster hat that I am sure a little boy I’m visiting soon would love.

We chatted, she photographed, we talked about knitting and the joy of finding a like minded community of crafters who are so generous with their time and enthusiasm. She left while I was busy with a customer so we didn’t get a chance to say goodbye.

Back home, I was able to take a longer look at Emma’s blog and discovered the pattern for the little bunny I fell for. Now all I need to do is find “Just the right shade” in my yarn collection so I can make one of my very own.

I know it’s in there somewhere …

Tx

  • Blimey! My crochet a pumpkin workshop at @ditzyrosemakes is sold out already - thanks to everyone who has booked - there are dates planned for workshops in October & November so if you missed out on pumpkins look out for more soon (inc granny squares on 10th November).

#girlgardener #ediblegarden #naturelover #nofilter When you're enjoying a quiet mug of tea & the sound of geese becomes deafening! Seeing far more fly over the house this year (& occassionally landing in the field, calling to each other then taking off and regrouping as if they have practised for years!! Lots of red admirals in the garden today
#naturelover #redadmiral #butterfly #embracingautumn #girlgardener #wildgarden Sunday loaf. I've always baked bread - not very successfully - but earlier this year I treated myself to a workshop with Andy, who runs the Coffee Kitchen bakery in Cockermouth. He taught us that bread making can be slow & gentle, that bread is a living food & that inspired me to keep learning & keep experimenting. This is a 100% spelt sourdough fresh from the oven. Mr T is desperate for it to cool down so he can have a slice, thickly spread with butter! Thanks @thecoffkitchen for all your patience & advice.

Trying to restore my mojo with a walk in the forest, where it's so wet that even the squirrels look miserable! Normally I stop here to drink coffee from my flask, but it's onwards & upwards, then home for dry clothes & hot chocolate!
