Shadow Shot Sunday

Last weekend the light was great for taking shadow shots. To find out more, pop over to visit Hey Harriet who curates this every Sunday and why not have a go yourself…

This fig tree sits right outside the back door. A free gift  with a gardening magazine many years ago, I have nurtured it and pampered it. Finally, this year it rewarded me with  a single (but very delicious) fruit.

  1. Like my Bramley apple tree… just one tiny little apple! I’m also having fun planning the swap, and am finding the theme easier than I’d first thought. Shame it’s only an A4 envelope, but that is making me more creative (I hope!) Dawn.

I love figs but can’t bear fig rolls as a child they were considered a family treat – but I never could see their attraction:)

One fig? You had to wait years for a single fig? Ah, the exemplar of patience you are! :-)

    SHADOW BOLD

    Shadow bold and shadow bright,
Shadow with me day and night,
    Shadow taller than a tree,
Tell me what you think of me!

The leaves make a fabulous "tea" to feed tomatoes (mix in a bucket of water with a handful of nettles), it doesn't smell as bad as comfrey feed and much cheaper / greener than the stuff you buy in garden centres!!
