Review: The Simple Things

I’ve been quite excited about the launch of this new magazine. All the photographs I’ve seen and snippets on their blog really excited me – and for all the right reasons – this magazine is beautifully put together.

I loved it so much, I’ve already signed up for the quarterly subscription offer. Inside you’ll find  great writing, outstanding photography  (let’s face it most of us buy magazines for the pictures as much as the content) and some really practical things you’ll want to make and do.

I’m already planning to make the courgette and potato fritters and I loved the article on seed swapping.

Of course, the addition of some rather pretty crochet patterns helped convince me this was “my” kind of magazine and Christopher Raeburn’s photography for his piece on Hips, Berries and Birds took me right back to a brief visit to the Phoenix Garden in Covent Garden.

Do look out for The Simple Things, it really is a great addition to my kitchen table and it’s sure to be well thumbed!

Can’t wait for next month …. let me know what you think …
