Countdown to Christmas: Giveaway

Thanks to the lovely people at ICHF events I have 2 tickets for the Crafts for Christmas Show in Birmingham to share with you.

This fabulous show runs from 8 – 11 November 2012 at the NEC Birmingham.  I love these shows, so much inspiration and a chance to see all the latest gadgets and tools essential for us crafty types! This year, you also get entry to the Festive Food and Drink Show, Hobbycrafts and Art Materials Live – you can see why this event is already on my calendar – how could I miss it!

If  you would like to be in with a chance to win 2 free tickets, just leave a comment on this post (everyone who leaves a comment will be entered). If you aren’t lucky enough to win tickets, you can book in advance for £9 via the website, where you’ll also find details of show exhibitors and loads of inspiration to kick start you Christmas preparations. Well worth the investment for a great day out.

Good luck, and happy crafting.

Entries  will be closed on 21st September and the winner announced on the 22nd. Comments on facebook or twitter won’t be counted – but if you retweet this post or share it on your facebook page after you’ve left a comment  I’ll enter you twice!

  8. This would be my first craft show, Tracey – in a wheelchair, it may be daunting but also fantastic! I am sure you’ll be busy leading up to it but how nice to have a day out absorbed in your work world!

  • The gooseberries are plump and tart - perfect for gin! This is my favourite summer gin. Add a few elderflowers if you like. Freeze the gooseberries first so they release their flavour.

The leaves make a fabulous "tea" to feed tomatoes (mix in a bucket of water with a handful of nettles), it doesn't smell as bad as comfrey feed and much cheaper / greener than the stuff you buy in garden centres!!

Can you read that card? A valet to whiten your converse! Brought back memories of whitening my Dunlop green flash in the 70's!!!
#chatsworth #converseallstars #conversetrainers Strange sky tonight. Common hogweed. Even the weeds look beautiful in the sunshine today. The flowers and stems of this one are destined for the dye pot. There are lots of varieties of hogweed, if in doubt don't touch - the sap is highly irritant, even poisonous in some.
#hogweed #foraging #ecodye #permaculture #naturaldye #slowliving #bakingandmaking Everyone loves elderflowers - even the cockchafers (maybugs). Last night we sat in the garden drinking the first batch of elderflower champagne, watching the bats & the moths and listening to a blackbird serenading us. The hedgerows are full of elderflowers & champagne is easy to make (easier than cordial), if you have white wine vinegar, lemons & sugar. Click on the link in my bio and type "elderflower champagne" in the search bar.
