Craftseller Blog has Launched

Not only do the lovely team at Craftseller magazine publish my crochet patterns each month, they were also kind enough to let me guest post on their fantastic new blog. It has been great fun to do some “proper” writing again instead of just designing – I used to love my column in Sustained magazine, knowing that people would read and be inspired by my simple lifestyle was a great incentive to discover new and creative ways to “live the good life”.

Anyway, I hope you’ll drop by Craftseller’s new blog and wish them luck. I’ll be posting there regularly in 2012, bringing you some crochet tips and techniques to help you make  a profit and also introducing you to some of my favourite crafters who have turned their  passion into a living.

I’ve also remembered how much I used to look forward to writing blog posts here, and feel guilty that in recent months it has become little more than a show case for my published designs. I plan to put this right in the new year.

It’s not just the blog which has been neglected, my garden is in a sorry state too. Mr T noticed,  and as a nudge to get me growing again he gave me a copy of James Wong’s Homegrown Revolution for Christmas. I am almost ashamed to say I disappeared to bed early on Christmas day with my new book, a pen and gardening notes. I now have a long list of ambitious growing plans for 2013!

It looks like I’m in for a busy new year – and I wouldn’t have it any other way!

The leaves make a fabulous "tea" to feed tomatoes (mix in a bucket of water with a handful of nettles), it doesn't smell as bad as comfrey feed and much cheaper / greener than the stuff you buy in garden centres!!
