I love this photo of the crochet boot cuffs I designed for Craftseller Magazine. The yarn is a particular favourite of mine – Shilasdair Luxury 4 ply – it is soft, warm and comes in beautiful shades. You might think boot cuffs or welly toppers are just a fashion fad, but believe me, they are cosy and stylish. Very quick to make, these are just the thing for spring walks in the sunshine. Craftseller issue 21 is in the shops now, well worth picking up a copy!

- Another one from the early days, remember these @insidecrochet ? I still use this pattern in my learn to crochet workshops. The "all buttoned up" mittens are so simple, the ideal first project - and buttons - who can resist crochet & buttons! #crochetlove #instacrochet #mariesideer #uncinetto #haaktechniekenbijbel #grannycoolcrochet #handmadewardrobe #makeitwearitTo celebrate 100 issues of @insidecrochet I wanted to share some of my favourite commissions. This crochet heart was one of my very first designs to be published in Inside Crochet & still one of my favourites. Like many designers, the Inside Crochet team (& especially @clairemontyknits ) encouraged me, offered advice and helped me find my style. Through 100 issues it continues to inspire crocheters and is one of the few I buy regularly - even when I'm not in it! #crochetlove #instacrochet #grannycoolcrochet #uncinetto #haaktechniekenbijbel #crochetmakesmehappyA first for me! I've been trying (& failing) to grow ranunculus in my heavy, wet clay soil for years and finally I've done it! Well, technically I overwintered pots in a cold greenhouse then hardened off on the patio before planting out, which might be considered cheating - but they're flowering and so I'm calling that a win! #girlgardener #cuttinggarden #flowergarden #moderngarden #mygardenSo here I am, standing in front of a beautiful dresser with @kathwebbercrochet and drinking a glass of rose ...oh I wish! It's actually another photo of one of the embellished sweaters I designed for @insidecrochet & Kath's floribunda bunting! But, it is a beautiful photo & it does make me very happy! Thankyou @scheepjes for indulging my love of natural fibres & sending gorgeous Catona cotton for this project (and at the risk of tyrning into the Oscars), thankyou @clairemontyknits for such a fabulous collaboration on this idea, and such gorgeous styling & @mavricphotography for capturing the moment! Congratulations on your 100th issue Inside Crochet, here's to the future xx Ps blog post & more photos over at grannycoolcrochet.com #crochetflower #uncinetto #haaktechniekenbijbel #crocheting #grannycoolcrochet #crochetmotif #upcycledclothing #floribundabunting #crochetbuntingGreen is my favourite colour! The moss has taken over because the ground is so damp. Who needs a lawn when you have moss & ferns? #naturelovers #intothewoods #dailywalk #moss #fern #boggarden #girlgardener
