What a great idea Tracey – great minds – for a Christmas gift I’m hooking what I think will be a cowl but might be a scarf depending on the length I can get from my ball…and I’m using dcblo! Love the adjustablitiy of your design. The yarn looks really soft and yummy too!

  2. Great idea, and I picked up some wooden buttons a few years ago at a car boot sale that I can finally use!

The beauty of this design is that you can alter it to suit your yarn, just change the initial chain length if needed and use a hook size suitable for your yarn. I’d love to see the results if you have ago. T x

  • I ♥ these so much! Playing and planning with pretty yarns from @pookgb & @bordertart today.

#slowliving #homesteading #woodisgood #delamerelogs #growninbritain #shoplocal #renewableenergy Tiny makes! Finally sewed buttons on this crochet cardi, despite having a drawer full of buttons, I ended up using a scrap of liberty print to cover some blanks. Yarn is @thefibrecompany Luma, which is so soft. The blend of natural fibres make it perfect for baby makes. I buy mine from @tangledyarnuk . Teeny scissors were bought from @beyond_measure_uk

Yes, I know "everyone" on instagram sleeps under crumpled linen duvets, but after 30 years we're still using the king size Thomas the Tank Engine duvet my mother in law made as a house warming present. The other side has a more femenine print so we can take turns. Secretly, this side is my favourite!!

There's something about this colour palette that makes me want to get my knitting needles out - and another part of me that wants to be prepared & find my recipe for oak gall ink!!! Yes, still early August, but part of me is already embracing autumn!!
